As we prepared for our walk, Krisztina was very keen to get underway, she sat on the top of my pack, patiently waiting while we got ready.

At morning tea, she again waited patiently, eager to be off

and didn't mind being strapped in a little more securely along with my drink bottle and walking pole.

She found these mushrooms intriguing,

and was pleased for us when we found our first sign in English.

Krisztina could barely contain herself when she saw this 'hide'

and quickly tried to climb it (it is a 'tree-house thing' - Sheridan will understand).

At Posreda Castle she had a wonderful time, firstly admiring the size of the beautiful conkers,

then exploring inside the ancient walls - aren't these windows tiny?

Her fearlessness of heights can be a problem - she doesn't agree - but she does see some interesting sights.

'Captivating' is how she described the scenery as we explored the hillsides covered in vineyards,

but her enthusiasm was subdued a little when twisting around for a better view she fell out of my pack. It was not until about 500 metres later I noticed a lack of chatter and found her missing - this is how I found her when I retraced my steps.

I carried her for a while and then let her rest in comfort to fully recover from her ordeal.

The next day there was barely a peep from her as she sat securely until we reached Brezice - the end of our walk! (She was very excited about this).

Another wait ... this time for the train to Zagreb,

but then a delicious cake to enjoy after all that hard walking.

Finally a quick call to friends in Budapest before flying out to further adventures.

I've caught up on your travels after a bit of a break (well, term started and you know what that means). Sounds so wonderful!
I need to ask you about work. Sorry! It's a quickie ... What min/max number of days would you like to work next year? Just trying to sort out the need for next year and how it fits with what EFT fraction you would like.
Things are going well here. Yr 12s finished today; new aide is great; yr 8s still the same!
Stay same and keep having the good time you are clearly having.
Antoinette.
Stay safe, not "same"!
